3.3 Working with user metadata fields

3.3.1 Creating user metadata fields

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on User Metadata in the sidebar.
3. Click on the plus button in the bottom right corner of the page and select the type of the field you want to create:

• Тext (a field for entering text);
• Date (a field for entering values in the date format);
• Number (a filed for entering numerical values).

 

3. The metadata entry field will be added. Type in its name in the new line that appears and it will be saved automatically.

 

Note: user metadata fields are the same for all users of the system. Each metadata field has a matching search filter.

Note: any user can add metadata fields created by the admin when working with a file.

3.3.2 Editing user metadata fields

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on User Metadata in the sidebar.
3. On the User Metadata page, click on the ⋮ icon to the right of the field's name and select Rename.

 

4. Enter the new field name and it will be saved automatically.

3.3.3 Deleting user metadata fields

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on User Metadata in the sidebar.
3. On the User Metadata page, click on the ⋮ icon to the right of the field's name and select Delete.
